Your adventure begins in Tangier, the gateway between Europe and Africa. After meeting your driver, travel through the Rif Mountains to reach Chefchaouen, the “Blue Pearl” of Morocco. Stroll through its charming alleys painted in shades of blue and white, then continue toward Fes, the country’s oldest imperial city, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional riad.
After breakfast, meet your local guide for a full-day tour of Fes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the medina of Fes el-Bali, its narrow alleys, colorful souks, and ancient monuments such as the University of Al Quaraouiyine, Bou Inania Madrasa, and the tanneries. In the afternoon, enjoy panoramic views from the Marinid Tombs before returning to your riad.
Depart early from Fes, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland,” and the cedar forests of Azrou, where Barbary macaques live. Continue through Midelt and the scenic Ziz Valley before arriving at Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara Desert. Ride your camel through the dunes of Erg Chebbi to your luxury desert camp. Enjoy dinner under the stars and Berber drumming around the campfire.
Wake up early to witness a magical sunrise over the dunes, then enjoy breakfast in the camp. Today, explore the desert surroundings: visit Khamlia village (home to Gnawa musicians), the Nomad families, and the fossil area near Erfoud. In the afternoon, relax or try sandboarding before another beautiful night in the desert camp or local riad.
After breakfast, depart for the spectacular Todra Gorges, where you can walk between towering canyon walls reaching 300 meters high. Continue along the Dades Valley, known as the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs,” with its beautiful landscapes and ancient fortresses. Dinner and overnight in a charming hotel overlooking the valley.
Travel through the Valley of Roses and Ouarzazate, nicknamed the “Hollywood of Africa.” Visit the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a famous backdrop for many films. Then cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m) with stunning panoramic views before reaching Marrakech, where your 6-day desert adventure ends.
