7 Days Tour from Fes to Marrakech

Upon your arrival in Fes, you’ll be welcomed by our driver and transferred to your riad in the heart of the old medina. The rest of the day is free to relax or begin exploring the winding streets of this historic city, known as one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Overnight in Fes.

After breakfast, meet your local guide for a full-day tour of Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural capital. Visit the Al Quaraouiyine University, the Bou Inania Medersa, and the tanneries, where leather is dyed using ancient methods. Explore the narrow alleys of the medina, filled with artisan workshops, spice markets, and hidden courtyards. Enjoy panoramic views of the city from the southern tower before returning to your riad for dinner and overnight.

Today you’ll travel south toward the Sahara Desert. The journey passes through Ifrane, and the cedar forests of Azrou, where you might see wild Barbary monkeys. After lunch in Midelt, the scenery changes as you descend into the Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and fortified villages. Arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. You’ll ride camels into the desert to enjoy a spectacular sunset before reaching your luxury desert camp for dinner, traditional music, and stargazing.

Wake early to witness the magical sunrise over the dunes, then return to the village by camel. After breakfast, depart for Rissani, known for its traditional market, and continue to Todra Gorges, an impressive canyon with towering cliffs ideal for trekking and photography. Later, travel along the Dades Valley, also known as the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs,” where ancient fortified houses blend with the red landscape. Dinner and overnight in a charming hotel overlooking the valley.

After breakfast, drive through the Rose Valley, famous for its fragrant rosewater products, and pass through Kelaat M’Gouna and Skoura Oasis. Continue toward Ouarzazate, the “Gateway to the Desert,” known for its film studios and kasbahs. Visit the Taourirt Kasbah and explore the local markets. Overnight stay in Ouarzazate.

Today’s highlight is the visit to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most spectacular ksars in Morocco. Many famous movies, such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones, were filmed here. After exploring, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m), with stops to admire Berber villages and panoramic views. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening. Overnight in a riad.

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the vibrant Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, where snake charmers, storytellers, and artisans create a lively atmosphere.
